As millions of Americans set out to fulfill their fitness resolutions, retailers are quick to extend end-of-year sales and promotions and roll out fresh New Year’s discounts to capitalize on the moment. Those deals make January the best time of year to invest in workout equipment and accessories.
The Peloton Bike+, for example, has been on semicontinuous sale from November into January. The same goes for smaller-scale equipment—think kettlebells and pull-up bars. We also tend to see January deals on running shoes, sports bras, workout headphones, water bottles, and more.

Despite the resolution revolution currently underway, setting your fitness goals later in the year doesn’t mean you’re doomed to pay hand over fist for at-home gym gear. Here are a few other times you can expect exercise equipment prices to drop throughout the year.
