It’s official: this year Prime Day will be July 12-13. Although Prime Day is typically a two-day event, we expect some deals to go live the day before, as well as a few sales the weekend prior to the big event.
In the past, Amazon has hosted early access sales on its own products—like Echo smart speakers and Kindle ebook readers—so if you’ve been thinking about picking up an Amazon-branded device, keep an eye out for early savings. Expect competing sales from Target, Best Buy, and Walmart, affording shoppers a variety of options to choose from.
In the meantime, keep an eye on this page. The Wirecutter Deals team tracks Prime Day deals every year, scanning tens of thousands of discounts. We only publish the best deals on Wirecutter-recommended products—a tiny fraction of what Amazon and its competitors bombard shoppers with during the event. We’ll continue updating this article to bring you additional analysis with everything you need to know about Prime Day, including information about supply-chain delays and global price increases. Until then, check out what’s available right now on the Wirecutter Deals page.
